INTRODUCTION
This study is focused on the misbehaviors committed by the Grade V pupils in Nasugbu East Central School -a common problem encountered by teachers inside the classroom. Most of the time, this hampers the smooth flow of the teaching and learning process. This complex and troubling issue needs to be carefully understood by the parents, teachers, and other adults. Children as young as elementary levels can show disruptive behavior. Though parents and other adults with children displaying such behavior were alarmed, they often hope that the young child will "grow out of it." Disruptive behavior can have negative effects on not only the classroom environment but also on the school experience as a whole.
METHODS
This study utilized the descriptive method of research using the questionnaire in gathering the necessary data. The respondents of the study were three (3) teachers from Grade V of Nasugbu East Central School. The researchers prepared a survey questionnaire from the statement of the problem. The questionnaire was checked and validated under the supervision of the Resource Speaker. They secured permission from the Principal of Nasugbu East Central School for conducting a thorough study on their researches, then the questionnaires were answered with teachers as respondents.
RESULTS
Out of the three respondents, 2 or 66.67% stated that the lack of interest in the lesson is the observable cause of misbehavior among Grade IV pupils. 1 or 33.33% stated seeking attention as a reason. None of the respondents stated the poor classroom environment. They also stated that misbehavior interrupts the flow of discussion as some pupils could not focus on the lesson. Checking misbehaviors is also time-consuming on the part of the teacher. Being talkative to seatmates is the most observed misbehavior done by the pupils.
DISCUSSIONS
The results suggest that the teachers should apply and use techniques suitable to the knowledge of the pupils. They must also remind the pupils of the significance of values and ethics and they should also talk regularly with the parents. The teacher may also apply the Program AKAY or Applying Kindness Among the Youth as one of the best interventions to lessen misbehavior among the pupils. This study is expected to have implications for other schools. It serves as an eye-opener, a reference, and a guide for them to follow.
