Adequacy and Utilization of Instructional Materials in Teaching the Tool Subjects in Binangonan II District

INTRODUCTION
The main thrust of this study is to determine the extent of utilization and adequacy of instructional materials in teaching English, Science, and Mathematics in the District of Binangonan II. Educational facilities play a vital role in improving the output of educational institutions in terms of achieving educational objectives. These facilities also help in improving the quality as well as the quantity of education. The importance of instructional materials and their role in the development of child's personality is very vital. Without these, it is not possible to impart knowledge effectively. This research aims to help the school and its stakeholders improve the teaching and learning process, especially the utilization of instructional materials.
METHODS
The subjects of the study were the 96 teachers chosen randomly to provide a better idea of the adequacy and utilization of instructional materials. A descriptive research method was employed utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire. Likewise, the study employed the use of documentary analysis
RESULTS
On the adequacy of instructional materials, non-projected visuals are perceived to be adequate, multimedia and printed materials are moderately adequate, and projected visual and audio media are not adequate. In terms of utilization, non-projected visual and printed materials are sometimes utilized, audio media are seldom utilized, and projected visual and multimedia are not utilized.
There is no significant relationship between the performance of the pupils in English, Science, and Mathematics, and the perceived utilization and adequacy of instructional materials
DISCUSSIONSOverall, the results of this study can benefit the teachers, school administrators and policymakers in utilizing different instructional materials in teaching. Using varied instructional materials in different field of specialization, the students will develop critical and creative thinking skills and have functional lifelong learning that can be useful not only in their chosen profession.
