Since they are a big factor in the teaching-learning process, it is essential to develop pupils who can respond and communicate. The output of this study will be of great help to teachers in uplifting the academic performance of their pupils. It will also provide and intensify the children's knowledge in identifying their own selves and where they belong.
METHODS

A questionnaire with items focusing on attitudes, behavior, and perception of the pupils during English instruction was used for data gathering.
RESULTS
This study identified that pupils' attitude and performance in English has higher implication towards effective learning. The positive attitude of learners supports the possible success of the teaching and learning process. Teachers agree that a classroom becomes complicated if learners do not show interest in learning. The more interest pupils show in class, the higher the possibility of learning. Creating and maintaining a comfortable learning environment adds positivity to the learning process according to the respondents of the study. Providing a variety of references, using ICT as a medium of instruction, and integrating English to other subjects lead to a higher level of pupils' performances. Group activities during instruction also need emphasis.
