Abstract

INTRODUCTION

This research aims to determine the objectives and benefits of undergoing work immersion for the Accountancy, Business and Management students of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School. The study also wants to know the things that are considered in choosing the company for the immersion.

METHODS

A qualitative approach was used in this study, which aims the determine perception of Accountancy, Business and Management students of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School of the school year 2017-2018 about their work immersion. The study is only limited to some of the students, and data gathering was by the use of open-ended interview questions.

RESULTS

This research shows that work immersions improve the student's skills, particularly in communication, character building, work ethics, and skills needed for the job.

DISCUSSIONS

The study serves as a guide for future Accountancy, Business and Management students of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School as to what to expect when undertaking the work immersion.
