A Tracer Study of Anonas National High School Graduates

INTRODUCTION
Entering college education is not easy —one of the main reasons why students do not continue their studies after high school is a financial difficulty. Though many scholarships are available, still many of them cannot afford to go to college. It is noticeable and observable that there are some graduates of Anonas National High School who are just seen in the vicinity of the school. Thus the researcher aimed to determine the number of students who are enrolled in college and the factors that influence them to pursue their undergraduate studies.
METHODS
The researcher used a descriptive design with the form of specific quantitative design using an entire group. It includes the accumulation, investigation, and understanding of information. The principal aim in utilizing this technique is to portray the idea of a circumstance as it exists at the season of the examination and to investigate the cases of particular phenomena.
RESULTS
It is revealed that there is a significant relationship between the financial status and occupation of parents, as indicated by the significance value 0f 0.031. Socioeconomic status of parents affects the choice of students to pursue undergraduate studies.
DISCUSSIONS
The result shows that the majority of the graduates of Anonas National High School in the years 2012-2015 are male, single, 18-20 years old, unemployed with the monthly income ranging from P1,000 -P5,000, and not enrolled in college. People factor, availability of courses, distance, and financial factor moderately influence the respondents to pursue their undergraduate studies. There is a significant relationship between the schooling capacity across the profiles variable.
