Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Tracer studies served as an essential tool within schools, providing information for reflection to enhance future institutional development. Gan and Mahoney (2013) cited that tracer studies can create another door to discover problems that can be turned into opportunities for enhancement, improvement, and innovations.

METHODS

The research study was limited to the teachers of Paliparan National High School who are recipients HP (Hewlett-Packard) stream eight tablet. The research was a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Quantitative data were collected using a frequency count. The unstructured interview was also conducted to gather qualitative findings.

RESULTS

The findings revealed that teachers took extra care in using the HP, as indicated in the high percentage of users. There are minimal reasons why HP tablets are not usable, and it is prevalent and unavoidable in all types of gadgets. It is worth learning to use the HP tablet in creative, productive, and educational ways, for there are numerous benefits of gadgets in terms of teaching and learning.

DISCUSSIONS

The government is encouraged to provide an updated version of technology-based teaching aid to the teachers. Continuous development of strategies and methods to be applied is essential in order to sustain the effectiveness in the utilization of technology-based teaching aid. The tracer study of the HP tablet given by the Provincial Government of Cavite be conducted in other schools. A copy of this study has to be endorsed to the Provincial Government of Cavite.
