"Hu-Science mo sa Laro" , Best Practice to Enhanced the Performance of Grade Three Pupils in Science at Bulihan Elementary School, Nasugbu, Batangas

Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Gaming can create a dynamic that can inspire learners to develop skills and competencies as they focus on the activities of the game. It supported to a teacher when students are not actively engaged in the learning process. The researchers intended that games can help in learning because pupils are more motivated, engaged, and can achieve more in games than in the real world.

METHODS

The descriptive method of research was used by the researchers, which made use of the checklist in gathering necessary information. The respondents of this study were eighty-eight (88) Grade III pupils of Bulihan Elementary School. A checklist was provided in order to acquire essential information for the study. The Grade III pupils of Bulihan Elementary School were asked to answer the checklist. The survey checklist was distributed to the respondents to answer. The information gathered will be calculated, arrange, evaluated, and interpreted to have a conclusion and recommendation.

RESULTS

The research presents the gender of the respondents. The respondents are male with a frequency of 40 or 45.45 % percent. The female respondents are 48 or 54.55% percent, which means that there are more female respondents than male pupils in both sections of Grade III class. The "Hu-Science mo a Laro" provide more engagement for the learner in the Science subject. It also assesses the appropriate knowledge, skills, and ability of 21st-century learners. It challenges the capacity of the learners to learn more in the subject, especially in Science. It combines motivation, engagement, adaptively, simulation, and collaboration of the learners in the class discussion. Hu-Science mo sa Laro prioritize how games can best be used for learning. Moreover, there is 0 percentage of "Hu-Science mo sa Laro" that has nothing to do with the pupils to engaged and does not help to improve the capacity to learn of the pupils.

DISCUSSIONS

Students may design a game in such a way that they are relevant, clear, and user-friendly for both mentors and students. Teachers may give proper time allotment in evaluating student performances through games. Teachers may plan to have a conference with the parents to discuss the uses of games and how it will help utilizes the learned thing of the students. Schools must continue to develop various healthy ways of making the pupils a learned individual.
