INTRODUCTION
Instructional material is one of the factors that contribute to the learning of the students. In the K-12 curriculum, it plays a vital role in developing the knowledge, skills, and attitude (KSA) of the students. In the area of technical Vocational Livelihood Education, it is a must to have the complete instructional materials for the students to be well skilled. Without it, learning is impossible to achieve. According to Agustin (2017), students must be given appropriate motivation and well prepared instructional to rob their attention in real work of education. Utilization of authentic instructional materials in teaching is recommended to enhance teaching-learning process. The learning of the students relies on the instructional materials given. In TVL track, the performance has a higher percentage compared to written and quarterly examination when it comes to the grading system. The teacher must have appropriate, complete, functional, and available instructional materials to be used in every competency. If the stakeholders want the students to be well skilled, there should have sufficient and appropriate instructional materials.
METHODS
The researcher used the descriptive method of research. The main objective is to the perception of the respondents on the utilization of instructional materials on the related factors.
RESULTS
The results showed that student under the strand of Technical Vocational Livelihood Education under the strand of Agricultural Crops Production must have a standardized competency-based learning module which is very functional to all students when using instructional materials. The students under the strand Technology Vocational and Livelihood Education need assistance and improvement in terms of using tools and equipment. With this result, there is no significant relationship between the utilization of instructional materials related factors and the technical skills performance of Grade-12 students.
DISCUSSIONS
Based on the results presented, this study suggests that the students under the TVL strand must be given practical and functional instructional materials to support their technical skills performance on the said subject.
