Abstract

INTRODUCTION

The main objective of Araling Panlipunan (AP) as a subject, is to train students in reading and comprehension. Through reading, the ideas will be undertstood. This leads to a deeper understanding of the value of history, economics, and contemporary issues that helps students express their ideas in different learning activities. As a significant goal, AP helps everyone to be a good member of the community of nations in order to enhance international diplomacy, unity, and world peace.In this study, we determined whether the "Improve Reading Comprehension Ability in Araling Panlipunan Through Reading Remedial Classes Using AP 9 Ekonomics Module for Grade 9 Students" has a useful effect.

METHODS

The research made use of the 10 item questions based on the module inAP 9 Ekonomiks (Iba't-Ibang Estruktura ng Pamilihan authored by this research). The questions were administered in a Pre-Test and Post-Test Exercise to measure student's comprehension in reading. After this, theyshall be supervised by their AP 9 (Ekonomiks) teacher while doing the said exam.Item analysis shall be applied to interpret and analyze the data that is being gathered. Selected pupils shall take the reading remedial from August 15-18, 2018 (2nd Quarter)and will undertake the pre-test and post-test in reading comprehension based on the Grade 9 Learners module. Then, the students shall answer the multiple-choice questions numbered 1-10 each). The results of the test shall be scrutinized through the use ofitem analysis
