Abstract

INTRODUCTION

The implementation of K to 12 Program brings forth new challenges, along with difficulties arising from the transition period from the old to the new curriculum. The drastic changes could have surmounting effects to the schools, the teachers, the parents and the pupils as they have to cope with the demands of the new educational system. Among these groups, the greatest burden could be on the teachers as they are the ones who experience the limitations/shortages on the school buildings and instructional materials which were coped up through proper scheduling of classes and resourcefulness in terms of the utilization of teaching strategies that would best suit the interests and needs of the pupils and at the same time aligned with the attainment of the goals of the new curriculum.

RESULTS

The findings of the study strengthen the widely accepted and repetitively proven beneficial effects of the utilization of multimedia in the teaching-learning process, specifically in terms of improving and enhancing the pupils' development of competencies through accelerating, making accurate, meaningful and enjoyable the transfer of learning from teacher to student. Hence, a proposed action plan was designed.
